July 2 – Bhoomi Pooja

On July 2, 2026 we successfully completed the Bhoomi Pooja for our temple expansion, a.k.a Phase II. This auspicious ceremony marked an important milestone in our journey to build a lasting spiritual and cultural home for our community. It was wonderful to have the donors present for the event along with many in the community. The BOT and EC team members ensured the success of the event.

Guided our priest DarshanJi, the event started with Ganapathi Pooja inside the temple. That was followed by carrying of the Mangala Dravyam to the north east corner of the temple by the community in a mini procession. After Sankalpam and purification of all the Pooja Dravyam, the Bhoomi Pooja began. The Bhoomi was dug symbolically and Shankustapana and Navratna Stapana were done as per Hindu Rituals. This was followed by laying of bricks and filling the dug hole back with earth. All members of the community participated including our building architect.

The event concluded with Mangala Aarti. Lunch made right at our temple by members of the community was shared and enjoyed by all.

With this milestone, the work on the expansion is ready to begin. Follow the updates on our temple website.

After the event, our BOT Chair Shraddha Thakkar had this to say:

We are grateful to have you with us on this journey and look forward to sharing our progress as this vision becomes a reality.
