Skanda Shashti

Join us in celebrating the victory of good over evil on Skanda Shashti at our temple. Typically celebrated on the sixth day of Shukla Paksha (waxing moon phase), it is dedicated to Lord Muruga and known by many other names including Skanda, Subramanya, Karthikeya, Shanmuka.
For those that fast for the full six days, the celebration and dedication to Lord Subramanya on the Skanda Shashti is especially personal and auspicious.
The event at the temple includes sankalpa and abhisheka for Lord karthikeya followed by Pooja, Maha aarti and Prasad.
You can sponsor the abhishekam or pooja here:

If you intend to recite the Skanda Shasti Kavacham during the event, please let the priest know in advance so the timing can be adjusted.
